I just read an amazing article on forest bathing...have you heard of this, forest bathing? If not, you should familiarize yourself! Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku in Japanese, is a simple practice that involves spending time in nature. Among the trees. It's a practice of being calm and quiet and observing nature around you, breathing deeply. It can help both adults and children de-stress and boost mental and physical health. In the 80's the Japanese term emerged as a way to offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout and to inspire residents to reconnect with and protect the country’s forests. That really stuck with me....let's offer an antidote to tech burnout in an essential oil form too. Brilliant.
When Tree Magic was blended, it was meant to calm and relax us as we ease into the dark parts of the year, fall and winter. And to provide a gentle reminder of the tranquility of a forest. When we added it to the website in December, it was an instant big seller. And now, instead of saying goodbye to it until next fall, we will keep it on with the new inpsiration of forest bathing. Who couldn't use more of that?!
